Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I have no power to benefit or protect myself, except by the Will of Allah.” For each community there is an appointed term. When their time arrives, they cannot delay it for a moment, nor could they advance it.

وأما حسابهم وإنزال العذاب عليهم، فمن الله تعالى، ينزله عليهم إذا جاء الأجل الذي أجله فيه، والوقت الذي قدره فيه، الموافق لحكمته الإلهية. فإذا جاء ذلك الوقت لا يستأخرون ساعة ولا يستقدمون، فليحذر المكذبون من الاستعجال بالعذاب، فإنهم مستعجلون بعذاب الله الذي إذا نزل لا يرد بأسه عن القوم المجرمين
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
