And to Allah ˹alone˺ bows down ˹in submission˺1 whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth of living creatures, as do the angels—who are not too proud ˹to do so˺.

{ وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ ْ} من الحيوانات الناطقة والصامتة، { وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ ْ} الكرام خصهم بعد العموم لفضلهم وشرفهم وكثرة عبادتهم ولهذا قال: { وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ْ} أي: عن عبادته على كثرتهم وعظمة أخلاقهم وقوتهم كما قال تعالى: { لَنْ يَسْتَنْكِفَ الْمَسِيحُ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَبْدًا لِلَّهِ وَلَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ ْ}
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
