That is their reward for rejecting Our signs and asking ˹mockingly˺, “When we are reduced to bones and ashes, will we really be raised as a new creation?”

قوله تعالى : ذلك جزاؤهم بأنهم كفروا بآياتنا وقالوا أئذا كنا عظاما ورفاتا أئنا لمبعوثون خلقا جديداذلك جزاؤهم بأنهم كفروا بآياتنا أي ذلك العذاب جزاء كفرهم .وقالوا أئذا كنا عظاما ورفاتا أي ترابا .أئنا لمبعوثون خلقا جديدا فأنكروا البعث
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
