˹The angels announced,˺ “O Zachariah! Indeed, We give you the good news of ˹the birth of˺ a son, whose name will be John—a name We have not given to anyone before.”

آیت 7 یٰزَکَرِیَّآ اِنَّا نُبَشِّرُکَ بِغُلٰمِ نِ اسْمُہٗ یَحْیٰیلا لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَّہٗ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِیًّااس کا دوسرا مفہوم یہ بھی ہوسکتا ہے کہ ہم نے اس سے پہلے اس کا کوئی نظیر نہیں بنایا ‘ یعنی اس جیسی صفات کسی میں پیدا نہیں کیں۔
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
