So We inspired Moses: “Strike the sea with your staff,” and the sea was split, each part was like a huge mountain.

ولم يطل انتظار موسى لنصر الله - تعالى - بل جاءه سريعا متمثلا فى قوله - سبحانه - ( فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إلى موسى أَنِ اضرب بِّعَصَاكَ البحر ) أى : البحر الأحمر - على أرجح الأقوال - وهو الذى كان يسمى ببحر القلزم .فضربه ( فانفلق ) إلى اثنى عشر طريقا ( فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ ) أى : قسم منه ( كالطود العظيم ) أى : كالجبل الشامخ الكبير .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
