They responded, “We are a people of strength and great ˹military˺ might, but the decision is yours, so decide what you will command.”

فقد قالوا لها : ( قَالُواْ نَحْنُ أُوْلُو قُوَّةٍ ) أى : أصحاب قوة فى الأجساد ، ( وَأُولُو بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ ) أى : وأصحاب بلاء شديد فى القتال .( والأمر إِلَيْكِ ) أى : موكول إلى رأيك ، وإلى ما تطمئن إليه نفسك من قرار .( فانظري مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ ) فتأملى وتفكرى فيما تأمريننا به بالنسبة لهذا الكتاب ، فنحن سنطيعك فى كل ما تطلبينه منا .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
