Allah surely knows that whatever ˹gods˺ they invoke besides Him are ˹simply˺ nothing. For He is the Almighty, All-Wise.

قوله تعالى : إن الله يعلم ما يدعون من دونه من شيء ( ما ) بمعنى ( الذي ) و ( من ) للتبعيض ، ولو كانت زائدة للتوكيد لانقلب المعنى . والمعنى : إن الله يعلم ضعف ما يعبدون [ ص: 319 ] من دونه . وقرأ عاصم وأبو عمرو ويعقوب : يدعون بالياء وهو اختيار أبي عبيد لذكر الأمم قبلها . الباقون بالتاء على الخطاب .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
