If We ever abrogate1 a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We replace it with a better or similar one. Do you not know that Allah is Most Capable of everything?

ما نبدِّل من آية أو نُزِلها من القلوب والأذهان نأت بأنفع لكم منها، أو نأت بمثلها في التكليف والثواب، ولكلٍ حكمة. ألم تعلم -أيها النبي- أنت وأمتك أن الله قادر لا يعجزه شيء؟
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
