So you ˹O Prophet˺ certainly cannot make the dead hear ˹the truth˺. Nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs and walk away.

فإنك -أيها الرسول- لا تسمع من مات قلبه، أو سدَّ أذنه عن سماع الحق، فلا تجزع ولا تحزن على عدم إيمان هؤلاء المشركين بك، فإنهم كالصم والموتى لا يسمعون، ولا يشعرون ولو كانوا حاضرين، فكيف إذا كانوا غائبين عنك مدبرين؟
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
