وثمود وقوم لوط وأصحاب الأيكة أي الغيضة . وقد مضى ذكرها في [ الشعراء ] . وقرأ نافع وابن كثير وابن عامر : " ليكة " بفتح اللام والتاء من غير همز . وهمز الباقون وكسروا التاء . وقد تقدم هذا .أولئك الأحزاب أي هم الموصوفون بالقوة والكثرة ، كقولك : فلان هو الرجل .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
