" قالوا " يعني الأتباع " ربنا من قدم لنا هذا " قال الفراء : من سوغ لنا هذا وسنه ، وقال غيره : من قدم لنا هذا العذاب بدعائه إيانا إلى المعاصي " فزده عذابا ضعفا في النار " وعذابا بدعائه إيانا ، فصار ذلك ضعفا . وقال ابن مسعود : معنى عذابا ضعفا في النار الحيات والأفاعي . ونظير هذه الآية قوله تعالى : ربنا هؤلاء أضلونا فآتهم عذابا ضعفا من النار .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
