Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I do not ask you for any reward for this ˹Quran˺, nor do I pretend to be someone I am not.

فلما بين الرسول للناس الدليل ووضح لهم السبيل قال الله له:{ قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ } أي: على دعائي إياكم { مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَّلِفِينَ } أدعي أمرا ليس لي، وأقفو ما ليس لي به علم، لا أتبع إلا ما يوحى إليَّ.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
