˹They prayed to Allah,˺ “Our Lord! We believe in Your revelations and follow the messenger, so count us among those who bear witness.”

قوله تعالى : ربنا آمنا بما أنزلت واتبعنا الرسول فاكتبنا مع الشاهدينقوله تعالى : ربنا آمنا بما أنزلت أي يقولون ربنا آمنا . بما أنزلت يعني في كتابك وما أظهرته من حكمك . واتبعنا الرسول يعني عيسى .فاكتبنا مع الشاهدين يعني أمة محمد - صلى الله عليه وسلم - ; عن ابن عباس . والمعنى أثبت أسماءنا مع أسمائهم واجعلنا من جملتهم . وقيل : المعنى فاكتبنا مع الذين شهدوا لأنبيائك بالصدق .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
