Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Imagine if this ˹Quran˺ is ˹truly˺ from Allah and you deny it: who can be more astray than those who have gone too far in opposition ˹to the truth˺?”

أي { قُلْ } لهؤلاء المكذبين بالقرآن المسارعين إلى الكفران { أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ } هذا القرآن { مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ } من غير شك ولا ارتياب، { ثُمَّ كَفَرْتُمْ بِهِ مَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ هُوَ فِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ } أي: معاندة للّه ولرسوله، لأنه تبين لكم الحق والصواب، ثم عدلتم عنه، لا إلى حق، بل إلى باطل وجهل، فإذا تكونون أضل الناس وأظلمهم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
