Yet their ˹various˺ groups have differed among themselves ˹about him˺, so woe to the wrongdoers when they face the torment of a painful Day!

فلما جاءهم عيسى عليه السلام بهذا {اخْتَلَفَ الأحْزَابُ} المتحزبون على التكذيب {مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ} كل قال بعيسى عليه السلام مقالة باطلة، ورد ما جاء به، إلا من هدى الله من المؤمنين، الذين شهدوا له بالرسالة، وصدقوا بكل ما جاء به، وقالوا: إنه عبد الله ورسوله. {فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا من عذاب يوم أليم} أي: ما أشد حزن الظالمين وما أعظم خسارهم في ذلك اليوم".
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
