وإن الأخلاء يومئذ، أي: يوم القيامة، المتخالين على الكفر والتكذيب ومعصية الله، {بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ} لأن خلتهم ومحبتهم في الدنيا لغير الله، فانقلبت يوم القيامة عداوة. {إِلا الْمُتَّقِينَ} للشرك والمعاصي، فإن محبتهم تدوم وتتصل، بدوام من كانت المحبة لأجله،
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
