There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He ˹alone˺ gives life and causes death. ˹He is˺ your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers.

لا إله إلا هو يحيي ويميت أي هو خالق العالم ، فلا يجوز أن يشرك به غيره ممن لا يقدر على خلق شيء . وهو يحيي ويميت أي : يحيي الأموات ويميت الأحياء .ربكم ورب آبائكم الأولين أي مالككم ومالك من تقدم منكم . واتقوا تكذيب محمد لئلا ينزل بكم العذاب .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
