They are ˹both just˺ like those who recently went down before them:1 they tasted the evil consequences of their doings. And they will suffer a painful punishment.

مثل هؤلاء اليهود فيما حلَّ بهم من عقوبة الله كمثل كفار قريش يوم «بدر» ، ويهود بني قينقاع، حيث ذاقوا سوء عاقبة كفرهم وعداوتهم لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في الدنيا، ولهم في الآخرة عذاب أليم موجع.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
