وإنه لحسرة على الكافرين يعني التكذيب . والحسرة : الندامة . وقيل : أي وإن القرآن لحسرة على الكافرين يوم القيامة إذا رأوا ثواب من آمن به . وقيل : هي حسرتهم في الدنيا حين لم يقدروا على معارضته عند تحديهم أن يأتوا بسورة مثله .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
