And as for those who were in awe of standing before their Lord and restrained themselves from ˹evil˺ desires,

( وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ ) أى : خاف عظمته وجلاله ، وسلح نفسه بالإِيمان والعمل الصالح استعدادا لهذا اليوم الذى يجازى فيه كل إنسان بما يستحقه .( وَنَهَى النفس عَنِ الهوى ) أى : وزجر نفسه وكفها عن السيئات والمعاصى والميول نحو الأهوال الضالة المضلة .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
