" حقيق علي " أي واجب . ومن قرأ ( على ألا ) فالمعنى حريص على ألا أقول . وفي قراءة عبد الله ( حقيق ألا أقول ) بإسقاط " على " . وقيل : " على " بمعنى الباء ، أي حقيق بألا أقول . وكذا في قراءة أبي والأعمش ( بألا أقول ) . كما تقول : رميت بالقوس وعلى القوس . ف حقيق على هذا بمعنى محقوق .فأرسل معي بني إسرائيل أي خلهم . وكان يستعملهم في الأعمال الشاقة .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
