But when He gave them out of His bounty, they withheld it and turned away indifferently.

فَلَمَّا آتَاهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِأي أعطاهم .بَخِلُوا بِهِأي بإعطاء الصدقة وبإنفاق المال في الخير , وبالوفاء بما ضمنوا والتزموا .وقد مضى البخل في [ آل عمران ]وَتَوَلَّوْاأي عن طاعة الله .وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَأي عن الإسلام , أي مظهرون للإعراض عنه .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
