[Recuerda] a Qarún, al Faraón y a Hamán. Moisés se presentó ante ellos con las evidencias, pero actuaron con arrogancia en la tierra [de Egipto y se negaron a creer]. Sin embargo, no pudieron escapar de Mi [castigo].

وكذلك قارون، وفرعون، وهامان، حين بعث اللّه إليهم موسى بن عمران، بالآيات البينات، والبراهين الساطعات، فلم ينقادوا، واستكبروا في الأرض، [على عباد اللّه فأذلوهم، وعلى الحق فردوه فلم يقدروا على النجاء حين نزلت بهم العقوبة]{ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ } اللّه، ولا فائتين، بل سلموا واستسلموا.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
