( وقالوا ) يعني صناديد قريش وهم في النار ، ( ما لنا لا نرى رجالا كنا نعدهم ) في الدنيا ، ( من الأشرار ) يعنون فقراء المؤمنين : عمارا ، وخبابا ، وصهيبا ، وبلالا وسلمان رضي الله عنهم . ثم ذكروا أنهم كانوا يسخرون من هؤلاء ، فقالوا :
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
