Cuando al ser humano le sucede una desgracia Me invoca; y luego, cuando le concedo una gracia, dice: “La gracia que se me ha concedido es porque me lo merecía debido a mi capacidad”. Esto es una prueba [de Dios], pero la mayoría lo ignora.

فإذا أصاب الإنسان شدة وضُرٌّ، طلب من ربه أن يُفرِّج عنه، فإذا كشفنا عنه ما أصابه وأعطيناه نعمة منا عاد بربه كافرًا، ولفضله منكرًا، وقال: إن الذي أوتيتُه إنما هو على علم من الله أني له أهل ومستحق، بل ذلك فتنة يبتلي الله بها عباده؛ لينظر مَن يشكره ممن يكفره، ولكن أكثرهم -لجهلهم وسوء ظنهم- لا يعلمون أن ذلك استدراج لهم من الله، وامتحان لهم على شكر النعم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
