ثم بين - سبحانه - الأسباب التى أدت بهم إلى هذا العذاب المهين فقال : ( ذَلِكُمْ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِي الأرض بِغَيْرِ الحق وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ . ادخلوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى المتكبرين ) .وقوله : ( تَمْرَحُونَ ) من المرح وهو التوسع فى الفرح مع الأشر والبطر .أى : ذلك الذى نزل بكم من العذاب ، بسبب فرحكم وبطركم فى الأرض بالباطل ، وبسبب مرحكم وأشركم وغروركم فيها .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
