Quienes tomaron a otros [como divinidades y objeto de adoración] en lugar de Dios, deben saber que Dios tiene registradas todas sus obras; pero tú [¡Oh, Mujámmad!] no eres responsable de lo que ellos hagan.

ثم بين - سبحانه - سوء عاقبة المشركين فقال : ( والذين اتخذوا مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ الله حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ ) .أى : والذين اتخذوا من دون الله - تعالى - شفعاء وشركاء ليقربوهم إليه زلفى ، الله - تعالى - وحده رقيب عليهم ، وسيجازيهم بما يستحقون من عقاب يوم القيامة ، وما أ ، ت - أيها الرسول الكريم - عليهم بحفيظ أو رقيب على أعمالهم ، وإنما أنت عليك البلاغ ونحن علينا الحساب .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
