Dios les infundió la hipocresía en sus corazones, que perdurará hasta el día en que se encontrarán con Él. Eso fue por no cumplir su promesa con Dios y por haber mentido.

فكان جزاء صنيعهم وعاقبتهم أَنْ زادهم نفاقًا على نفاقهم، لا يستطيعون التخلص منه إلى يوم الحساب; وذلك بسبب إخلافهم الوعد الذي قطعوه على أنفسهم، وبسبب نفاقهم وكذبهم.
