Maka Allah menimpakan kepada mereka kehinaan pada kehidupan dunia. Dan sungguh, azab akhirat lebih besar, kalau (saja) mereka mengetahui.

فأذاقهم الله الخزي في الحياة الدنياوقال المبرد : يقال لكل ما نال الجارحة من شيء قد ذاقته ، أي : وصل إليها كما تصل الحلاوة والمرارة إلى الذائق لهما . قال : والخزي من المكروه ، والخزاية من الاستحياء . " ولعذاب الآخرة أكبر : أي مما أصابهم في الدنيا " لو كانوا يعلمون " .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
