Già Aronne li aveva avvertiti: «O popol mio, siete caduti nella tentazione! il Compassionevole è veramente il vostro Signore. Seguitemi allora e obbedite ai miei ordini» 1 .

قوله تعالى : ولقد قال لهم هارون من قبل أي من قبل أن يأتي موسى ويرجع إليهم يا قوم إنما فتنتم أي ابتليتم وأضللتم به ؛ أي بالعجل . وإن ربكم الرحمن لا العجل . فاتبعوني في عبادته . وأطيعوا أمري لا أمر السامري . أو فاتبعوني في مسيري إلى موسى ودعوا العجل .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
