Già Aronne li aveva avvertiti: «O popol mio, siete caduti nella tentazione! il Compassionevole è veramente il vostro Signore. Seguitemi allora e obbedite ai miei ordini» 1 .

( ولقد قال لهم هارون من قبل ) من قبل رجوع موسى ، ( ياقوم إنما فتنتم به ) ابتليتم بالعجل ، ( وإن ربكم الرحمن فاتبعوني ) على ديني في عبادة الله ، ( وأطيعوا أمري ) في ترك عبادة العجل .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
