E il popolo di Noè, quando tacciarono di menzogna i messaggeri, li annegammo e ne facemmo un segno per gli uomini. Abbiamo preparato un castigo doloroso per gli ingiusti.

وَاَعْتَدْنَا للظّٰلِمِیْنَ عَذَابًا اَلِیْمًا ”یعنی پیغمبروں کی تکذیب کرنے والی ان قوموں کو عذاب استیصال کی صورت میں نقد سزا تو دنیا ہی میں مل گئی تھی مگر اصل عذاب ابھی ان کا منتظر ہے۔ یہ عذاب انہیں آخرت میں ملے گا اور وہ بیحد تکلیف دہ ہوگا۔
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
