Coloro che invece avevano avuto la scienza dissero: «Guai a voi! La ricompensa di Allah è la migliore, per chi crede e compie il bene». Ma essa viene data solo a quelli che perseverano.

قوله تعالى : وقال الذين أوتوا العلم ويلكم وهم أحبار بني إسرائيل قالوا للذين تمنوا مكانه ويلكم ثواب الله خير يعني الجنة . لمن آمن وعمل صالحا ولا يلقاها إلا الصابرون أي لا يؤتى الأعمال الصالحة أو لا يؤتى الجنة في الآخرة إلا الصابرون على طاعة الله وجاز ضميرها لأنها المعنية بقوله : ثواب الله .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
