Coloro che li precedettero già tacciarono di menzogna [le rivelazioni], mentre essi 1 non hanno raggiunto nemmeno un decimo di quello [splendore] che concedemmo a quegli altri. Trattarono da bugiardi i Miei messaggeri. Quale riprovazione fu la Mia!

وكذَّب الذين من قبلهم كعاد وثمود رسلنا، وما بلغ أهل «مكة» عُشرَ ما آتينا الأمم السابقة من القوة، وكثرة المال، وطول العمر وغير ذلك من النعم، فكذبوا رسلي فيما جاؤوهم به فأهلكناهم، فانظر -أيها الرسول- كيف كان إنكاري عليهم وعقوبتي إياهم؟
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
