Quanto a quelli di voi che volsero le spalle il giorno in cui le due schiere si incontrarono, fu Satana a sedurli e a farli inciampare, per una qualche colpa che avevano commesso; ma Allah ha perdonato loro, poiché Allah è perdonatore, indulgente.

إن الذين فرُّوا منكم -يا أصحاب صلى الله عليه وسلم- محمد عن القتال يوم التقى المؤمنون والمشركون في غزوة «أُحد» ، إنما أوقعهم الشيطان في هذا الذنب ببعض ما عملوا من الذنوب، ولقد تجاوز الله عنهم فلم يعاقبهم. إن الله غفور للمذنبين التائبين، حليم لا يعاجل من عصاه بالعقوبة.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
