Poi, quando videro la Nostra severità, gridarono: «Crediamo in Allah, l’Unico, e rinneghiamo coloro che [Gli] avevamo associato».

ثم بين - سبحانه - حالهم عندما أحاط بهم العذاب فقال : ( فَلَمَّا رَأَوْاْ بَأْسَنَا ) أى عاينوا عذابنا النازل بهم .( قالوا ) بفزع وخوف ( آمَنَّا بالله وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ ) أى : وكفرنا بما كنا به مشركين فى الدنيا من عبادة لغير الله - تعالى - واعتماد على سواه .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
