Quante città si mostrarono orgogliose di fronte all’ordine del loro Signore e dei Suoi messaggeri! Le costringemmo ad un rendiconto rigoroso, e le castigammo di un orribile castigo.

يخبر تعالى عن إهلاكه الأمم العاتية، والقرون المكذبة للرسل أن كثرتهم وقوتهم، لم تنفعهم شيئًا، حين جاءهم الحساب الشديد، والعذاب الأليم، وأن الله أذاقهم من العذاب ما هو موجب أعمالهم السيئة.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
