Disse [Allah]: «Cosa mai ti impedisce di prosternarti, nonostante il Mio ordine?». Rispose: «Sono migliore di lui, mi hai creato dal fuoco, mentre creasti lui dalla creta» 1 .

قال تعالى منكرًا على إبليس تَرْكَ السجود: ما منعك ألا تسجد إذ أمرتك؟ فقال إبليس: أنا أفضل منه خلقًا; لأني مخلوق من نار، وهو مخلوق من طين. فرأى أن النار أشرف من الطين.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
