Si allontanò da loro e disse: «O popol mio, vi avevo trasmesso i messaggi del mio Signore e vi avevo dato consigli sinceri. Come potrei ora essere afflitto per un popolo di miscredenti?».

( فتولى ) أعرض ( عنهم ) شعيب شاخصا من بين أظهرهم حين أتاهم العذاب ، ( وقال يا قوم لقد أبلغتكم رسالات ربي ونصحت لكم فكيف آسى ) أحزن ( على قوم كافرين ) والأسى : الحزن ، والأسى : الصبر .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
