Kaum Thamud dan Aad telah mendustakan hari (kiamat) yang menggempar dan mengharukan itu.

( كذبت ثمود وعاد بالقارعة ) قال ابن عباس وقتادة : بالقيامة سميت قارعة لأنها تقرع قلوب العباد بالمخافة . وقيل : كذبت بالعذاب الذي أوعدهم نبيهم حتى نزل بهم فقرع قلوبهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
