En Wij hebben aan jou (O Moehammad) het Boek slechts doen neerdalen om hen duidelijk te maken waarin zij verschillen en als Leiding en Barmhartigheid voor een volk dat gelooft.

( وما أنزلنا عليك الكتاب إلا لتبين لهم الذي اختلفوا فيه ) من الدين والأحكام ، ( وهدى ورحمة لقوم يؤمنون ) أي : ما أنزلنا عليك الكتاب إلا بيانا وهدى ورحمة ، فالهدى والرحمة عطف على قوله " لتبين " .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
