Maar zij zullen hem (de dood) nooit wensen, vanwege wat hun handen (aan zonden) hebben voortgebracht. En Allah kent de onrechtplegers.

{ وَلَنْ يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدًا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ } من الكفر والمعاصي, لأنهم يعلمون أنه طريق لهم إلى المجازاة بأعمالهم الخبيثة، فالموت أكره شيء إليهم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
