Zodat Allah het slechtste dat zij hebben gedaan zal uitwissen en zodat Hij hun hun beloning zal geven naar het beste van wat zij plachten te doen.

قوله تعالى : ليكفر الله عنهم أي صدقوا ليكفر الله عنهم . أسوأ الذي عملوا أي يكرمهم ولا يؤاخذهم بما عملوا قبل الإسلام . ويجزيهم أجرهم أي يثيبهم على الطاعات في الدنيا بأحسن الذي كانوا يعملون وهي الجنة .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
