( قالوا أجئتنا لتأفكنا )[ لتصرفنا ]( عن آلهتنا ) أي عن عبادتها ( فأتنا بما تعدنا )[ من العذاب ]( إن كنت من الصادقين ) أن العذاب نازل بنا .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
