E dirão (mais): Ó Senhor nosso, em verdade, obedecíamos aos nossos chefes, os quais nos desviaram da (verdadeira) senda.

( وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّآ أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَآءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السبيلا ) ، أى : وقال هؤلاء الكافرون - بعد هذا التحسر والتفجع - يا ربنا إنا أطعنا فى الدنيا ( سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَآءَنَا ) أى : ملوكنا ورؤساءنا وزعماءنا ، فجعلونا فى ضلال عن الصراط المستقيم ، وعن السبيل الحق .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
