Os povos antigos desmentiram (seus mensageiros); e não conseguiram alcançar nem a décima parte do conhecimento quelhes concedemos. Negaram os Meus mensageiros, mas que terrível foi a (Minha) rejeição (a eles)!

وكذَّب الذين من قبلهم كعاد وثمود رسلنا، وما بلغ أهل «مكة» عُشرَ ما آتينا الأمم السابقة من القوة، وكثرة المال، وطول العمر وغير ذلك من النعم، فكذبوا رسلي فيما جاؤوهم به فأهلكناهم، فانظر -أيها الرسول- كيف كان إنكاري عليهم وعقوبتي إياهم؟
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
