( إنا أرسلنا عليهم ريحا صرصرا ) شديدة الهبوب ( في يوم نحس مستمر ) شديد دائم الشؤم ، استمر عليهم بنحو سنة فلم يبق منهم أحدا إلا أهلكه . قيل : كان ذلك يوم الأربعاء في آخر الشهر .
